Greenwich Communication Centre takes its commitment to the wider environment and the societal impact of its business activities seriously.
GCC is committed to promoting environmental good practice, to continually reduce our environmental impact and to prevent pollution. We seek to improve our processes whereever possible to minimize our carbon impacts and we wish to work with suppliers and assist our clients to do the same.
All GCC employees are responsible for integrating environmental considerations into the business and maintaining the environmental policy: To assess the extent and nature of our impacts on the environment. Minimise our consumption of resources and raw materials. Reduce production of waste materials.
GCC commits to reducing CO 2 ommissions by using 100% renewable energy, by reducing non-essential site visits by effectively using virtual technologies, by using public transport where possible, by recycling all consumable waste and reducing paper use by sending all documentation electronically.
GCC commits to invest in measures that cancel out our contribution to climate change by offsetting our residual carbon impact by investing in projects in the developing world where money goes further in reducing global carbon emissions.
GCC accepts computer hardware for recycling according to WEEE regulations and we are working towards meeting the requirements of the environmental management standard ISO14001 by applying the guidelines under BS8555.
In support of these values we will measure our environmental performance every 3 months and review our processes to further reduce our environmental impact in our drive to become an ethical business.
